Account & data deletion
You can delete your SpendMe account and associated cloud data at any time. OdysseyDevelopments LLC processes deletion requests without requiring a new account or purchase.
Delete in the iPhone app (recommended)
- Open SpendMe and sign in.
- Go to Settings → Account.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
This removes your Supabase auth profile and user-owned data in our database, including budgets, transactions you stored in the cloud, and linked-bank connection records. We revoke every Plaid Item first; if Plaid cannot be reached, the request stops with your data intact so you can retry. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Cancel any subscription separately in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Disconnect a bank without deleting your account
In Settings → Bank connections (or Bank imports), disconnect each linked institution. We call Plaid to remove the Item, then delete the access token, connection metadata, and the transactions imported from that bank. Transactions you entered yourself and your budgets remain. If Plaid cannot be reached, the connection stays visible with imports paused so you can retry.
Waitlist or marketing email only
If you joined the website waitlist but do not have an app account, use the unsubscribe link in any email from us, or email spendmeapp@outlook.com and ask to be removed from the list.
Request by email
If you cannot access the app, email spendmeapp@outlook.com from the address tied to your SpendMe account. Include “Data deletion request” in the subject. We verify ownership before deleting data and respond within a reasonable time, consistent with applicable law (including Florida consumer-protection and privacy statutes that apply to us).
What may remain temporarily
- Short-lived backups held by our hosting or database providers, which expire on their normal schedule and are not used to restore your account for product purposes
- Records we must keep for legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, or security obligations
- Aggregated, de-identified statistics that cannot reasonably be linked back to you. Account-linked analytics events and subscription event records (RevenueCat) are deleted with your account
